Sewing Journal

Every time I hear the idea of keeping a sewing journal I think "yeah, that's a great idea". And then I promply forget about it until the next time someone mentions it. Well, the great folks on the Sew4Kids4Fun list at Quiltropolis have finally motivated me to do it!

Like most people I go through sewing ups and downs. Sometimes I'm on fire and accomplish a great deal and other times I can't seem to get anything done for months. With a sewing journal you can keep track of what you've really accomplished. What a great morale booster when you're in doldrums.

Here's the first page of my 2001 journal. I've gotten a lot accomplished the first week of January. Ten items! Although I knew I was doing pretty good so far, I never would have guessed it was ten items if I hadn't kept track of it.

On this page I've included descriptions of all the items as well as a few swatches and some digital pictures of some of the items. I think I'm going to like this.
