I have a large and ever-expanding collection of pattern magazines, including several years worth of Burda,
Burda for Toddlers and Babies, Topkids, etc.. Each magazine contains 20 to 40 complete patterns. They're wonderful!
What I didn't like was that every time I'm looking around for a certain style of pattern, and wanted to check
my pattern magazines, I would have to page through dozens of magazines. Luckily most of these magazines include
an index section. In this section they have small line drawings of each of these styles and what sizes are included
in the pattern.
So I made copies of the index pages from each magazine. I labeled the pages with the magazine's name and month/year
it was published. Then I inserted these index pages into sheet protectors and stored them in a 3 ring binder like
all my other patterns.
Its great! Now when I'm looking for something specific I just page through the folder and find it. The magazines
themselves are stored on a bookshelf by date so they're easy to find once I've decided on a pattern.

That's all I have for organization right now. If you have a question or would like a suggestion for how to organize
something in your sewing room, email me, I'd be glad to help.
