I highly recommend this book. This is not about making slippers or moccasins. She shows you how to make shoes that are indistinguishable from store bought; except they fit you and are in the colors and fabrics you choose. The instructions are clear and well illustrated.

For hatmaking my favorite book is Classic Millinery Techniques by Ann Albrizio
